Alright, so. I’ve never participated in lent before. It’s not something my family does, and I’ve never felt convicted to give up something. But tonight I was talking to God and just felt like I should give up tumblr for a while. Now.. lent is a lot longer than I thought it was (haha) and I’m not sure how well I will do. So today I performed the background vocals for this song Gimme Shelter. It’s a really awesome song, and the bgv’s are pretty tough. Last semester when I heard the 2nd semester kids do it I really loved it. I sat there thinking, I’m gonna work on this, so that when I go up there and sing it, it sounds super good. Haha. I always come up with some weird fact like, “did you know orange was a fruit before a color?” Or “horses can’t puke.” Yeah. Awkward person life. That’s really funny though. :)
